Come to Orlando Airport Saturday, September 16, 2017 to welcome our returning Heroes back home from their Honor Flight

The last Honor Flight Central Florida Flight Mission for 2017 is on Saturday, September 16th. We hope the patriotic public of our Central Florida community can join to welcome our Heroes back home after their day of Honor in our Capital. We are scheduled to arrive at Orlando International Airport on Southwest Airlines Flight # 2371 due in at 10:20 pm. Please come out to show your thanks to our Senior Veterans who served and sacrificed for all of us, and give them the welcome home they deserve and never got. Be at Orlando Airport in Terminal A on the arrivals & ticketing level by Starbucks Saturday evening September 16th at 10:15 pm to greet and thank our Veterans personally. We are pleased to be honoring 50 Central Florida Veterans for their service, who served our nation in WWll, the Korean War and Vietnam.  The vast majority of our Honorees are in their 90s having served in the Army, Army Air Corp,, Navy, Marines and Air Force. This is a family event that offers a very special end to a very long day of tribute to our Heroes. Bring signs, flags, and all your family and friends to play your own roles in this special tribute to some very special Veterans who are your neighbors right here in Central Florida! Be sure to check with Southwest Airlines after 8:30pm to verify our on time arrival. Watch for Honor Flight staff who will be on site organizing the welcome, and remember, We can’t all be heroes, some of us have to stand on the curb and clap as they go by”

We can be reached by phone at (407) 203 7010 or by email at: for more information.

  1. Dear sir, I entered the Navy flight program in 1943 and stayed in the reserve for 27 years.
I flew the F6f,f9f, fjj3 &4 A4 and several other aircraft. I am interested in the Honor flights.
    Please respond.

    • Scott,
Many thanks for your service and sacrifice. On this site please find a link to Veteran applications on the menu. You will need to print a blank, fill it in and sign it and get to us by regular mail or if you can scan the completed app, send it to us as an attachment to an e-mail at:
Be sure to include a copy of your current valid government issued picture ID for ticketing purposes.
We would like to find a place for you on one of our two spring 2017 flights and can only take the steps to do so when we have your application in hand.

  2. How do I get on the list??? I’m 82 years old and a Korean war vet, having served in-country from Jan 19, 1953 until Dec 24, 1953. I was stationed at K-10, Chinhae

    • so sorry for the delayed reply – we lost our web page admin and have struggled with learning how to manage it ourselves. I suggest you contact the group in Tampa area. They are Honor Flight West Central Florida. 727-498-6079. We travel from Orlando so they might be able to better serve you. Thanks for your service!
