"Hot Rods for Heroes" is shifting gears

The HRFH mission to bring community awareness to Honor Flight Central Florida and celebrate our hometown heroes is complete. The growth and support of the event has exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The production, since inception in 2018, blossomed into quite the undertaking for our all-volunteer team. As event Co-Chairs, we have made the difficult decision that we will not be able to organize a March 2025 show, especially at the level of the past 2 events in 2023 and 2024.

The mid-March weekend will be used instead by the HFCFL Board and flight volunteers to clear the backlog of Veterans waiting to fly, and to send even more of them to DC in 2025. Plans for 2 large spring flights and a fall flight are already in the works.  

We genuinely loved all the camaraderie the event created, and it brought us pure joy to plan it. We are considering options and locations for what a Fall 2025 show might look like. We will make an announcement early in the summer about the future of the show.

We appreciate your support over the past years and are grateful we were able to bring the community together for this big day to celebrate all who serve.

We look forward to your support of future flight missions and HFCFL events.
