Honor Flight Central Florida’s next Flight Mission is scheduled for October 19, 2019

September 26, 2019 – In only three short weeks, Honor Flight Central Florida will be carrying out our final flight mission in 2019. We are excited to provide an Honor Flight for another 24 of our Central Florida hometown heroes that served their country and all of us during the WWII, Korea and Vietnam eras. Our tour of honor will take us to witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, the Women in Service Memorial, the Air Force Memorial, the Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial, and the WWII, Korea and Vietnam Veterans Memorials in our nation’s capital.

We hope that all of you can join in a great surprise welcome home for our heroes on their arrival back to Orlando International Airport (MCO) to honor their service and sacrifices. We want their day of honor to conclude with a display of gratitude and patriotism, so bring some signs, display Old Glory, and wear your red white and blue best. Be sure to bring the kids, because this is a true American family event, and our most Senior heroes deserve our adulation and respect.

Meet the welcoming public in terminal A next to Starbucks on the departure level where we enter the terminal around 10:30 PM. Our group will be arriving on Southwest Airlines flight #3817 due in at 10:20 PM. Please be sure to check with Southwest for our on time arrival before heading to the airport.  We hope you’ll share this special event with your friends and family and encourage all of them to attend so we can give our heroes the welcome home they never got when they concluded their service.
