OUR FIRST FALL 2019 HONOR FLIGHT IS SCHEDULED SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

September 2, 2019 – Honor Flight Central Florida is excited to announce our first fall Honor Flight is scheduled in less then three weeks.

Early in the morning of Saturday, September 21, 2019 , Honor Flight Central Florida will be going “wheels up” to head to our nation’s capital so that 24 Veterans of Central Florida who served for us in WWll, Korea, and Vietnam, can view and reflect at the memorials dedicated in their honor. Our most senior Honoree is 99 years old.

Our trip to Washington DC will take us to Arlington National Cemetery to witness the changing of the guard ceremony at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, to the Air Force Memorial, the Women in Service Memorial, the Air Force Memorial, the Marine Corps Memorial, the WWll Memorial, the Korea Memorial, and the Vietnam Memorial.

We always welcome and encourage the patriotic public to muster at Orlando International Airport (MCO not Sanford) to greet and welcome home our Honorees when they arrive back home from their Honor Flight. We hope you all can attend this great family event, and that you bring your family and friends to participate. Bring signs, flags, and wear some patriotic colors to show our Honorees just how much we all appreciate them for their service and for the sacrifices they made on our behalf.

Remember  that our Freedom Isn’t Free, and that those who served in our armed forces have paid the cost of the freedom so many take for granted. Give our hometown heroes  the “welcome home” they never got when they concluded their military service. Each of them has honored us by wearing their uniform – now it’s time we honor them.

We arrive back to Orlando Airport on Southwest Airlines Flight #2549 due in at 10:45PM. Folks that want to participate in welcoming our flight should assemble in Terminal A by the Starbucks at 10:30 PM. Please contact or check with Southwest Airlines to verify we will be arriving on time from Baltimore after our scheduled departure from Baltimore (BWI) at 8:25 PM.

We hope you share this post with all your personal contacts so we have a large crowd on hand to provide an awesome welcome home and show of appreciation to our Honorees.
